The M4A4 | The Emperor draws inspiration from the Emperor tarot card (Arcana IV), symbolizing reason, leadership, and control. Introduced in The Prisma Collection on March 14 2019 during the “Seeing the Light” update, it became one of the most recognizable M4A4 finishes in Counter-Strike history. The blue and gold color scheme mirrors royal iconography, depicting a crowned ruler commanding power and stability – fitting for a weapon that thrives on precision and dominance.

The Emperor belongs to the Covert (Red) rarity tier. Valve’s official framework assigns 0.64% total probability to Covert-grade items per case.
The Prisma Case contains two Covert items – the M4A4 | The Emperor and the Desert Eagle | Light Rail.

It remains available in both standard and StatTrak™ variants. Because the Prisma Case is still active in CS2’s drop pool, The Emperor remains accessible to players – though at a steep rarity cost.
