Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh

Origin Story

The Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh was released on November 19, 2019, as a rare special item alongside Operation Shattered Web. It features a stenciled camouflage pattern, described in-game as spray-painted using mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts. This finish emphasizes a utilitarian, military aesthetic, setting it apart from flashier knife designs. The knife's flavor text, "A predator is a predator, no matter the environment," reinforces its rugged and adaptable identity. It is often considered an entry-level option for players seeking the Skeleton Knife model with a more subdued visual.

Drop Chance

Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($387.96): The camouflage pattern, composed of muted olive, tan, and grey, is sharp and opaque across the blade and integrated handle.
• Minimal Wear ($168.68): Minor micro-scratches may appear on the edges of the blade and handle, but the overall camo pattern remains very similar to Factory New.
• Field-Tested ($150.09): The camouflage colors begin to appear more muted, with visible wear spots and slight fading on prominent edges like the blade tip and spine.
• Well-Worn ($169.30): Larger areas of the blade and handle show noticeable fading and exposed metal, particularly along high-contact surfaces, making the camo significantly washed out.
• Battle-Scarred ($142.73): The finish is heavily faded across the blade, with substantial portions showing very pale camouflage or worn-through areas, creating a rugged, battle-worn appearance.

Visual Theme

Spray-Paint: It has been spray-painted using mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts as stencils. This finish features muted olive, khaki green, tan, and grey colors, forming a low-contrast camouflage pattern. In first-person view, the camouflage-coated blade is the most visible element. The finish is frequently compared to other Safari Mesh knives and other cheap camo finishes like Boreal Forest.
