Origin Story

The P90 Sand Spray was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Dust 2 Collection with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. It features a freehand spray-painted design with short, thick lines in contrasting colors, giving it a desert-camouflage feel. This look is consistent with the classic Dust II map aesthetic, which is also reflected in other skins from its collection. The skin is generally considered a utilitarian choice for players seeking a non-vanilla P90.

Drop Chance

P90 | Sand Spray is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 11 tournament packages, most recently the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package, London 2018 Dust II Souvenir Package, and MLG Columbus 2016 Dust II Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Dust 2 Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Sand Spray are a small fraction of total package contents. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

• Minimal Wear ($0.04): Very light scuffs appear on the edges of the receiver and magazine housing, but the overall spray pattern remains intact.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): Noticeable scuffing develops on the top rail and forward body, with the spray lines beginning to show some fading.
• Well-Worn ($0.03): Heavier wear is present on major edges, with substantial base layer exposure and muted, patchy spray bands.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.03): Extensive wear covers large areas, making the spray lines faint and broken, and much of the gun appears dull and heavily scratched.

Sand Spray uses the legacy P90 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The P90 | Sand Spray is a Souvenir-quality skin that was originally distributed in various Dust II Souvenir Packages, such as the Atlanta 2017 Dust II Souvenir Package and the Katowice 2019 Dust II Souvenir Package. These packages were awarded to viewers during Major tournaments when watching matches played on the Dust II map. Since new packages are no longer being distributed, the skin is primarily acquired today by purchasing existing copies from other players. Buyers can find this skin on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or through case-opening and skin-trading sites.
