Origin Story

The FAMAS | Colony was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Italy Collection with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. Its design features individual weapon parts spray-painted in khaki and grey, giving it a utilitarian, military-inspired appearance. This skin is generally considered a low-tier, budget FAMAS within the community. As a skin from a map-based collection, it is primarily valued for its functional use or as a nostalgic item for players interested in older collections.

Drop Chance

FAMAS | Colony is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It appeared in the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Italy Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Colony are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 4 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($3.59): The khaki body and grey accents appear clean and uniform, with colors at their most consistent.
• Minimal Wear ($0.07): Light edge wear begins to appear on sharp corners like the front handguard, but the khaki and grey paint remains largely intact.
• Field-Tested ($0.04): Noticeable wear patches develop on the front and rear stock edges, with the khaki and grey looking more broken up as the darker base shows through.
• Well-Worn ($0.04): Large areas of the khaki and grey paint are worn away, especially on leading edges, making the weapon appear duller and clearly used.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.04): Extensive paint loss across the weapon, with significant portions of the khaki and grey replaced by exposed base material, giving it a heavily scuffed appearance.

Model

Colony uses the legacy FAMAS model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The FAMAS | Colony is exclusively available as a Souvenir skin, originating from the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. These packages were historically awarded to viewers during Major tournaments for matches played on the Italy map. Today, buyers can acquire copies directly on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or through various case-opening and skin trading sites.
