Origin Story

The AK-47 Wintergreen, released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, joins The Boreal Collection. Its design features a solid green finish on the receiver, grip, and barrel, contrasted by dark brown on the buttstock and handguard. This two-tone application creates a straightforward yet distinctive appearance for the rifle. The skin's flavor text, "Envy is a trait of the weak," adds a subtle thematic layer to its presentation.

Drop Chance

AK-47 | Wintergreen is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Boreal Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Mil-Spec drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. • Factory New ($7.93): The solid green on the receiver, grip, and barrel, along with the dark brown buttstock and handguard, appear clean and highly saturated with no visible wear.
• Minimal Wear ($2.87): Small edge nicks may begin to appear on high-contact areas like the magazine lip or receiver edges, but the overall green and brown colors remain vibrant.
• Field-Tested ($0.88): Chipping becomes more noticeable on the front of the handguard, magazine, and sharp corners of the receiver, potentially revealing small silver/metal spots.
• Well-Worn ($0.88): Edge wear and exposed-metal patches become prominent, particularly on the front of the weapon, and the green areas may show some dulling due to micro-scratches.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.75): Significant wear is present with large, patchy areas of exposed metal, especially on the front half, magazine, and receiver edges, causing the green coloration to appear muted.

Wintergreen uses the current AK-47 model, added with Spring Forward on April 1, 2025. The Anodized finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.
