Origin Story

The AWP | LongDog features a custom paint job depicting the elongated dog graffiti from the Train map, an element that gives the sniper rifle a distinctive visual identity. This design is further complemented by the flavor text, which reads, ""The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."" Released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, the skin is included in The Train 2025 Collection. The Gunsmith finish style suggests a combination of custom paint with modeled elements, creating a detailed and layered appearance centered around the prominent graffiti graphic.

Drop Chance

AWP | LongDog is Covert, a Red-tier skin, the rarest standard drop grade. It appeared in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Train 2025 Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Covert skins like LongDog are a small fraction of total package contents. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

LongDog uses the current AWP model, added with Spring Forward on April 1, 2025. The Gunsmith finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

The AWP | LongDog is exclusively available in Souvenir quality and can be found in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package. These packages were originally awarded to viewers during Major tournaments when watching matches played on the Train map.
