Origin Story

The Survival Knife | Damascus Steel was introduced on April 3, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, bringing a new Damascus Steel finish to the game's knives. This finish is characterized by its layered carbon steel appearance, featuring wavy, flowing lines and banding across the blade. The design offers a neutral metallic aesthetic, making it a versatile option for players who prefer understated elegance. The blade's face and spine are the most prominent elements, showcasing the intricate Damascus pattern.

Drop Chance

Survival Knife | Damascus Steel is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.5. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW.

• Factory New ($108.39): The blade displays maximum sheen and brightness, with crisp, high-contrast Damascus bands and minimal surface marks.
• Minimal Wear ($99.51): The blade remains highly clean, showing only subtle surface dulling or faint edge wear on high-contact areas, with the pattern remaining sharp.
• Field-Tested ($88.15): The metallic surface becomes noticeably less glossy, with Damascus bands appearing slightly more muted and darker, especially towards the tip and along the spine.
• Well-Worn ($80.68): The overall blade tone is darker and more used, with more extensive wear on edges and the tip, while the underlying Damascus pattern is still faintly visible.

Model

Damascus Steel uses the current Survival Knife model, added with Spring Forward on April 3, 2025. The Patina finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

As a knife, it is a rare drop, separate from the regular weapon skin pool. Players can also acquire this knife directly from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or case-opening sites. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.

Patina: It has been forged from a billet made from two different types of carbon steel. Damascus Steel knives are generally compared to other neutral metallic finishes, but are considered more refined due to the visible layered pattern.
