SCAR-20 | Caged

Origin Story

The SCAR-20 | Caged, released on September 17, 2025, as part of the Show Off update, introduces a distinctive blue and purple gradient design to the heavy sniper rifle. This visual treatment covers the weapon body, making the gradient a prominent feature in first-person view. Its flavor text, "That's a big weapon for such a small cage...," hints at the weapon's power contained within its aesthetic. The skin is a part of The Genesis Collection and features a Gunsmith finish.

Drop Chance

SCAR-20 | Caged is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Sealed Genesis Terminal: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Sealed Genesis Terminal (about 1 in 88). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 1. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($0.87): The blue and purple gradient is fully vibrant and intact across the weapon body, with no visible wear.
• Minimal Wear ($0.24): Minor scuffs may appear on the edges of the weapon, but the gradient coloring remains largely pristine.
• Field-Tested ($0.14): Noticeable wear begins to appear on prominent edges and areas of frequent contact, slightly dulling the gradient.
• Well-Worn ($0.09): The blue and purple gradient shows significant abrasion and scratching, with larger areas of paint loss becoming apparent.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.11): Extensive wear and paint degradation are visible across the entire weapon, heavily obscuring the original gradient design.

Model

Caged uses the current SCAR-20 model, added with Show Off on September 17, 2025. The Gunsmith finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.
