Origin Story

The MP7 | Army Recon, released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Safehouse Collection, features a spray-painted finish with freehand, short, thick lines in contrasting colors. Its design evokes a rough, improvised field-camo aesthetic, using muted military tones like olive, khaki, and dark brown-green. This skin is generally regarded as a budget-friendly MP7 option. It was introduced with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update.

Drop Chance

MP7 | Army Recon is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Safehouse Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 4 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($1.49): The muted military tones of olive, dark brown-green, and blackish accents are fully intact with crisp, contrasting stripes across the receiver and handguard.
• Minimal Wear ($0.06): Minor scuffs begin to appear on the front edges and around the mag well, but the overall pattern remains very close to Factory New.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): Noticeable edge wear develops on the muzzle, receiver corners, and stock, with the darker base layer starting to show through the camo stripes.
• Well-Worn ($0.03): Large areas of chipping and abrasion are visible on exposed edges, leading to partially missing or heavily interrupted camo lines, especially around the front and top of the weapon.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.03): The spray paint is heavily eroded across large sections, with much of the surface showing the darker base and only faint remnants of the original stripes.

Model

Army Recon uses the legacy MP7 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MP7 | Army Recon is part of The Safehouse Collection and can be acquired as a random end-of-match drop in the current rare-collection drop pool. A Souvenir version of this skin is also available from the Safehouse Souvenir Package. Players can also obtain it through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Safehouse Collection. Additionally, the skin is readily available for purchase on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various CS2 case opening or skin trading sites.
