Origin Story
The Negev | Terrain, released on February 20, 2014, as part of Operation Phoenix, features a hydrographic terrain motif across its body. This design applies an earthy camouflage pattern, primarily in greens and browns, creating a grounded aesthetic for the heavy machine gun. As a Mil-Spec skin from The Phoenix Collection, it is generally regarded as a functional, budget-friendly option for players rather than a high-status item. The skin is tied to the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, which is no longer actively dropping, making its supply finite.
Drop Chance
Negev | Terrain is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case: approximately 19.98% per opening (roughly 1 in 5). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 4 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~2.00% from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (about 1 in 50). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.
Skin Condition
Float range 0 to 0.45. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW. Factory New ($1.42): The hydrographic terrain motif appears fully intact and most vibrant across the receiver and barrel shroud, with edges showing minimal to no scratching. Minimal Wear ($0.77): The terrain pattern remains strong and clean, with light edge wear starting to appear on the barrel, corners of the receiver, and top edges of the weapon. Field-Tested ($0.87): Noticeable chipping and fading occur on exposed metal parts, making the terrain camo look worn and less saturated, especially around the barrel and front handguard. Well-Worn ($0.70): Large portions of high-contact areas are significantly chipped, with reduced coverage of the terrain motif on edges and some central parts, giving it a much more rugged look.
Model
Terrain uses the legacy Negev model, introduced with Operation Phoenix on February 20, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

Sticker Compatibility
The Negev | Terrain's earthy greens, browns, and dark tones complement green, woodland, or nature-themed stickers, as well as muted gold, beige, or tan options. Black, white, or grayscale logos also provide a clean contrast without clashing with the terrain pattern. For optimal visibility during gameplay, stickers are best placed on the receiver and body of the weapon.
