Origin Story

The AWP | Asiimov, released on February 20, 2014, as part of The Phoenix Collection with Operation Phoenix, quickly became one of the most recognizable and iconic AWP skins. Its bold sci-fi design features a white base with bright orange accents and black paneling, creating a distinctive and futuristic look. This aesthetic, along with its status as a classic, has cemented the Asiimov as a long-standing status piece for many players. The skin is also a popular choice for sticker crafts, valued for its clean color blocking that allows various sticker themes to stand out.

Drop Chance

AWP | Asiimov is Covert, a Red-tier skin, the rarest standard drop grade. It drops as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play, pulled from the The Phoenix Collection item pool rather than from a case opening. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Covert drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 1 other Covert skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price, rather than through natural play drops.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.18 to 1. Exteriors: Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FT, WW, BS.

• Minimal Wear is the cleanest possible version, with the white base and orange accents remaining bright and only small edge chips appearing on high-contact corners.
• Field-Tested ($171.29): Chipping becomes more apparent along the barrel, front end, and stock edges, with small patches of darker undercoat showing through.
• Well-Worn ($120.00): Substantial chipping is visible along most edges and contact points, with larger areas of the dark undercoat exposed on the barrel, scope housing, and buttstock.
• Battle-Scarred ($109.03): Heavy chipping and scratched surfaces cover most of the weapon, with large areas of the dark base coat showing through and white portions appearing significantly dulled.

Model

Asiimov uses the legacy AWP model, introduced with Operation Phoenix on February 20, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The AWP | Asiimov is primarily obtained by opening the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. While this case is no longer a regular drop, it can still be acquired from the rare case drop pool. Players can also utilize trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Phoenix Collection. For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, various third-party marketplaces, and case-opening sites. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
