Origin Story

The MP7 | Gunsmoke first appeared in CS2 on July 1, 2014, as part of The Overpass Collection, released alongside Operation Breakout. Its design features a hydrographic of a gel pen doodle, giving the weapon a distinct, hand-drawn appearance. This monochrome, sketch-like aesthetic sets it apart from more colorful or complex weapon finishes. As a legacy item from a map-based collection, it primarily appeals to collectors seeking to complete sets or acquire souvenirs from past Major tournaments.

Drop Chance

MP7 | Gunsmoke is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It has appeared across 18 tournament packages, most recently the Paris 2023 Overpass Souvenir Package, Rio 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Overpass Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Overpass Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Industrial Grade skins like Gunsmoke are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 3 other Industrial Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($26.52): The gel pen doodle pattern is crisp and fully intact, with sharp line work and no visible scratches on the main body.
• Minimal Wear ($6.25): The doodle pattern remains fully visible with only light edge wear on the muzzle, front grip, or stock corners.
• Field-Tested ($1.84): Noticeable but moderate edge wear and small surface scratches appear, with parts of the doodle pattern near the mag well and front edges beginning to look slightly faded.
• Well-Worn ($1.85): Heavier wear is present with more extensive chipping along the muzzle, barrel shroud, mag well edges, and outer stock, causing the gel pen doodle pattern to appear faded and broken up in several areas.
• Battle-Scarred ($1.84): The hydrographic is heavily worn with substantial chipping and dulling, and line art can be partially lost on high-contact surfaces while recesses and inner panels preserve more of the doodle.

Model

Gunsmoke uses the legacy MP7 model, introduced with Operation Breakout on July 1, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MP7 | Gunsmoke is exclusively available as a souvenir item from The Overpass Collection. It originally entered the market through specific tournament souvenir packages, such as the Antwerp 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package and the ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package, which were awarded to viewers during past Major events. Since new packages are no longer distributed, players primarily acquire this skin by purchasing existing copies from other players. These can be found on the Steam Community Market, various third-party marketplaces, or specialized CS2 skin trading sites.
