Origin Story

The UMP-45 | Scorched, released on July 1, 2014, as part of Operation Breakout, belongs to The Overpass Collection. Its design features a spray-painted, sun-dappled pattern, giving it a scorched camouflage appearance with dark greys, blacks, and patchy lighter tan areas. The in-game description notes its spray-painted, sun-dappled pattern, while the flavor text connects it to the Phoenix, a symbol of rebirth. This skin is a Consumer Grade item from a legacy collection.

Drop Chance

UMP-45 | Scorched is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It has appeared across 18 tournament packages, most recently the Paris 2023 Overpass Souvenir Package, Rio 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package, and Stockholm 2021 Overpass Souvenir Package.


Souvenir Packages are awarded to viewers watching live Major matches on the corresponding map, not opened from cases, so Valve doesn't publish per-skin drop odds. Each package contains one item from The Overpass Collection, with rarity tiers drawn on a weighted system that heavily favors common grades, meaning Consumer Grade skins like Scorched are a small fraction of total package contents. There are 4 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. New copies only enter the market when a recipient chooses to open their package, so supply trickles in over time even after the tournament ends.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($20.44): The dark greys and blacks maintain strong contrast with the lighter tan sun-dappled patterns, appearing crisp across the weapon.
• Minimal Wear ($1.61): Very light wear begins to appear on the barrel edges, magazine bottom, and stock corners, but the overall pattern remains largely intact.
• Field-Tested ($0.93): The lighter tan patches show noticeable fading, and more visible wear appears on high-contact areas like the front receiver and mag well.
• Well-Worn ($0.81): The sun-dappled highlights are substantially muted, giving the skin a darker, grimy, and almost monochrome appearance with heavier wear on edges.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.75): The spray-painted pattern is heavily faded, leaving a predominantly dark, scorched base with minimal, low-contrast mottling and significant edge wear.

Model

Scorched uses the legacy UMP-45 model, introduced with Operation Breakout on July 1, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The UMP-45 | Scorched is exclusively available as a Souvenir item, originally obtained from special Antwerp 2022 Overpass Souvenir Package, Atlanta 2017 Overpass Souvenir Package, and many other Major tournament Overpass Souvenir Packages. These packages were awarded to viewers during Major tournaments when watching matches played on the Overpass map. Since these tournaments have concluded, new packages are no longer being distributed. Consequently, players today acquire this skin by purchasing existing copies on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or through case-opening and skin trading sites.
