Origin Story

The MP7 | Asterion, released in 2015 with Operation Bloodhound, is part of The Gods and Monsters Collection. It features a muted, geometric design, spray-painted with a stencil of an isometric labyrinth across its body. This design, inspired by Greek mythology, ties into the collection's broader theme, which includes more prominent skins like the AWP | Medusa. While not a status symbol, the Asterion functions as a budget-friendly entry point for players seeking to complete the collection or build a thematically consistent loadout. Its fixed supply, due to the collection no longer actively dropping, makes it a unique piece for those interested in discontinued items.

Drop Chance

MP7 | Asterion is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Gods and Monsters Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 3 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

Float range 0 to 0.55. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is not available for this skin.

• Factory New ($24.39): The isometric labyrinth stencil is crisp and fully covers the weapon, showing no visible chipping on edges.
• Minimal Wear ($7.99): The labyrinth pattern remains intact and sharp with only small edge wear appearing on high-contact points like the front barrel and grip ridges.
• Field-Tested ($6.50): Noticeable chipping occurs on edges and corners, especially near the muzzle and receiver, causing sections of the labyrinth to look slightly broken.
• Well-Worn ($5.76): Significant wear is present on front and edge surfaces, with larger patches of exposed base material interrupting the labyrinth's continuity.
• Battle-Scarred ($5.86): Heavy chipping and fading cover much of the body, with large zones of the underlying base color exposed, making the labyrinth motif appear fragmented and low-contrast.

Model

Asterion uses the legacy MP7 model, introduced with Operation Bloodhound on May 26, 2015. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MP7 | Asterion is exclusively found within The Gods and Monsters Collection, which was introduced with Operation Bloodhound and is no longer actively dropping in CS2. Players can obtain this Consumer Grade skin through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from the same collection. It is also available for purchase on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various CS2 skin trading sites.
