Origin Story

The Five-SeveN | Flame Test, released on February 16, 2018, as part of the Welcome to the Clutch update, is a distinctive pistol skin from The Clutch Collection. The in-game flavor text, "Element detected: Cs," adds a subtle scientific touch to its design. While the Clutch Case is no longer in the active drop pool, this skin remains available through existing cases and the secondary market.

Drop Chance

Five-SeveN | Flame Test is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Clutch Case: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Clutch Case (about 1 in 88). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.65. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($2.07): The purple base is fully saturated, the metal-flake effect is most noticeable, and the silver flame at the muzzle is crisp and sharply defined with minimal to no visible scratches.
• Minimal Wear ($0.32): Slight wear may begin on sharp edges of the slide and muzzle, with very small nicks that do not significantly disturb the overall flame pattern; the purple still looks vibrant and the metallic effect remains strong.
• Field-Tested ($0.18): Noticeable wear appears on the muzzle, slide front, and high-contact edges, with more visible scratches cutting into both the silver flame and purple base; the metal-flake effect becomes less striking as surface roughness increases.
• Well-Worn ($0.20): Broader areas of scuffing and paint loss are present, particularly around the muzzle, slide edges, and frame; portions of the silver flame may look partially worn away, and purple regions can appear notably duller or more patchy.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.19): The most significant wear is visible, with large sections of the purple base and silver flame showing heavy scratches and potential exposure of underlying material; the metal-flake is mostly subdued or lost in worn areas.

Model

Flame Test uses the legacy Five-SeveN model, introduced with Welcome to the Clutch on February 16, 2018. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Five-SeveN | Flame Test is primarily found by opening the Clutch Case. While the Clutch Case is no longer in the active drop pool, players can still acquire it from existing case inventories or through the secondary market. Additionally, players can obtain this Mil-Spec pistol through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Clutch Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, the skin can be found on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening or skin-trading sites.
