Origin Story

The MP7 | Powercore, released on August 3, 2018, as part of the A New Horizon update, is a Restricted SMG skin from The Horizon Collection. It features a custom paint job with a vibrant green base and yellow highlights, giving it a distinctive industrial appearance. • Field-Tested ($1.52): More visible chipping and scuffing appears on exposed edges and corners, with some muted areas on the green base, especially around the front and mid-body.
• Well-Worn ($1.58): Notable wear patches appear on major edges and some flat areas, with more of the underlying metal visible, especially at the front and along high-contact edges.
• Battle-Scarred ($1.32): Heavy wear is present, with large parts of edges and some main surfaces showing exposed base material, making the finish appear significantly duller and more scratched.

Model

Powercore uses the legacy MP7 model, introduced with A New Horizon on August 3, 2018. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The MP7 | Powercore is primarily found by opening a Horizon Case. While the Horizon Case is no longer in the active Prime drop pool, it can still be acquired as a rare drop or purchased on the Steam Community Market. Players can also obtain this Restricted skin through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Horizon Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, the skin is readily available on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various case-opening sites.
