Origin Story

The Nomad Knife | Case Hardened features a blade treated with wood charcoal at high temperatures, resulting in a distinctive color case-hardened finish. This finish is renowned for its varied blue, purple, and gold patterns across the blade. It was introduced on November 19, 2019, as part of the Operation Shattered Web update. The unique patterns generated by the case-hardening process mean no two skins are exactly alike, making each one visually distinct.

• Minimal Wear ($287.62): Minor darkening begins on the blade and handle, but the colors remain distinct.
• Field-Tested ($221.30): The patina darkens further, causing some loss of color saturation across the knife.
• Well-Worn ($215.00): Significant darkening of the metal is present, with the hardened pattern becoming muted.
• Battle-Scarred ($194.18): The knife shows extensive darkening and a heavily worn patina, obscuring much of the original color.

Model

Case Hardened uses the legacy Nomad Knife model, introduced with Operation Shattered Web on November 19, 2019. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

Knives have a low drop rate, making them highly sought after. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
