Origin Story

The Kukri Knife | Case Hardened was introduced on February 7, 2024, as part of the A Call To Arms update, bringing a new knife model and finish to CS2. This skin features a color case-hardened treatment, achieved by applying wood charcoal at high temperatures, which results in metallic steel, blue, gold, and purple patches across the blade. The in-game description notes, "It has been color case-hardened through the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures." Its flavor text, "A little color never hurt anyone," playfully hints at the vibrant, splotchy patterns that define this finish.

Drop Chance

Kukri Knife | Case Hardened is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 1. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($285.56): The patina is clean and bright, with vivid blue and gold areas across the blade, showing strong metallic sheen.
• Minimal Wear ($173.90): The patina remains colorful and bright, with only slight softening or darkening along the sharp edges of the blade and spine.
• Field-Tested ($141.76): Noticeable darkening of the patina appears, particularly on the tip and edges, with blue and gold colors becoming more muted.
• Well-Worn ($132.52): The overall surface appears duller and more tarnished, with the patina colors shifting towards greyer, washed-out hues, and significant darkening on edges.
• Battle-Scarred ($131.00): The patina is heavily darkened, with much of the metallic sheen gone, and blue areas are very subdued, often overshadowed by the general dark tone.

Case Hardened uses the current Kukri Knife model, added with A Call To Arms on February 7, 2024. The Patina finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

Knives have a low drop rate of approximately 0.26% from cases. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. Players can also acquire this knife by purchasing it directly from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or case-opening sites.
