Origin Story

The Survival Knife | Fade was introduced on November 19, 2019, as a rare special item during Operation Shattered Web. This distinct visual style, combined with the Survival Knife's unique machete-like silhouette, positions it as a high-end status knife. Its iconic Fade pattern and very limited float range ensure that only pristine Factory New and Minimal Wear versions exist, maintaining a consistently high visual quality.

Drop Chance

Survival Knife | Fade is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Model

Fade uses the legacy Survival Knife model, introduced with Operation Shattered Web on November 19, 2019. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Survival Knife | Fade is obtainable as a rare special item from the Fracture Case and the Shattered Web Case. Knives are exceptionally rare drops from these cases, separate from the standard weapon skin pool. Players can also acquire this knife by purchasing it directly from the Steam Community Market, through various third-party marketplaces, or on case-opening and skin-trading sites. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
