Origin Story

The Nova | Smart Gun, released on July 8, 2026, as part of The Spy Tech Collection, presents a unique fusion of technology and organic elements. Its design features a custom-painted brain near the rear sight, appearing embedded directly into the weapon, and is finished with metallic silver paint.

Drop Chance

Nova | Smart Gun is Restricted, a Purple-tier skin in the upper half of the rarity ladder. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Spy Tech Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Restricted drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds.
