Origin Story

The G3SG1 VariCamo was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Safehouse Collection, coinciding with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. This skin features a VariCamo patterned hydrographic paint finish. Its flavor text, "Rebuilding only comes in the wake of destruction," adds a layer of thematic depth to the design.

Drop Chance

G3SG1 | VariCamo is Industrial Grade, a common skin tier, one step above Consumer Grade. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Safehouse Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Industrial Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. • Minimal Wear ($0.10): Slight abrasion begins to appear on the edges of the weapon, but the VariCamo pattern remains largely intact.
• Field-Tested ($0.07): The hydrographic pattern shows noticeable fading and wear on high-contact areas, though the design is still clear.
• Well-Worn ($0.08): Significant portions of the VariCamo pattern are abraded, revealing more of the underlying surface.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.07): The hydrographic finish is heavily worn and faded across most of the weapon, with the pattern significantly degraded.

VariCamo uses the legacy G3SG1 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.
