Origin Story

The Flip Knife | Boreal Forest debuted in 2013 as part of The Arms Deal update, introducing one of the first knife finishes to CS:GO. Its design features a hydrographic forest camouflage pattern, characterized by desaturated greens, browns, and tans. This classic Boreal Forest finish is concentrated on the blade, giving the knife a rugged, military-inspired appearance. It is recognized as an original Arms Deal-era knife, making it a piece of CS:GO history.

• Field-Tested ($163.13): Noticeable edge wear appears on the tip and spine, with more darker base metal showing and the camo colors beginning to fade slightly.
• Well-Worn ($186.34): Extensive edge wear is present, with larger parts of the tip, cutting edge, and spine revealing darker metal, and the camo pattern appearing dulled and patchy.
• Battle-Scarred ($174.20): The camouflage pattern is heavily faded and chipped, with large areas of the blade edges and tip appearing as mostly dark metal, and remaining camo looking washed-out.

Model

Boreal Forest uses the legacy Flip Knife model, introduced with The Arms Deal on August 14, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Flip Knife | Boreal Forest is primarily acquired as a rare special item from the original Arms Deal-era knife pool, specifically from the CS:GO Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, and CS:GO Weapon Case 3. These cases are no longer in the active drop pool, meaning new supply is limited to existing sealed cases. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
