Origin Story

The M9 Bayonet | Night is a classic, old-school knife skin introduced on August 14, 2013, as part of The Arms Deal update. Its appeal comes from its nostalgic connection to the early days of CS2 and its "black ops" aesthetic. The knife features individual parts spray-painted in solid colors, creating a night operations color scheme. It is often seen as a simpler, stealthy alternative to brighter M9 finishes.

• Minimal Wear ($685.07): The dark navy/black paint is mostly intact, with only small edge scuffs beginning to appear on the tip and along the sharpest blade edges, retaining a sleek, tactical look.
• Field-Tested ($496.02): Noticeable chipping and lightening along the cutting edge, tip, and some parts of the spine show against the dark paint, though the blade still reads as dark overall.
• Well-Worn ($468.34): The blade shows substantial edge wear with larger sections of exposed metal, and patchy wear along the flat faces starts to break up the uniform night coloration.
• Battle-Scarred ($566.22): Large portions of the blade, especially the edge, tip, and high-contact areas, show heavy exposed metal, making the remaining paint look faded or blotchy.

Night uses the legacy M9 Bayonet model, introduced with The Arms Deal on August 14, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The M9 Bayonet | Night is obtained as a rare special item from opening CS:GO Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, and CS:GO Weapon Case 3. These cases no longer drop in the active pool and are now rare bonus drops. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. Players can also acquire this knife directly by purchasing it from the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or case-opening sites.
