Origin Story

The Butterfly Knife | Boreal Forest was introduced to CS2 on July 1, 2014, as part of the Operation Breakout update. The design evokes a sense of wilderness and stealth, reinforced by its flavor text, "The woods can be a dangerous place... never travel alone." Its aesthetic is characterized by the practical, camouflaged pattern, which is applied across the knife's surfaces.

• Battle-Scarred ($632.50): Extensive wear and fading are present across the entire knife, with the hydrographic pattern heavily degraded and scuffed.

Model

Boreal Forest uses the legacy Butterfly Knife model, introduced with Operation Breakout on July 1, 2014. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

As a knife, it is a highly uncommon drop, separate from standard weapon skins. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
