Origin Story

The R8 Revolver | Bone Mask was released on December 8, 2015, as part of The Bank Collection, coinciding with CS:GO’s Winter Update. Its design features a spray-painted pattern created using masking tape as a stencil, resulting in irregular, mask-like patches across the weapon's body. The muted beige, tan, grey, and off-white colors, accented by darker brown and grey elements, give it a distinctive appearance. This skin is part of a small "Bone Mask" mini-set within The Bank Collection, sharing a family resemblance with other weapons featuring this finish.

Drop Chance

R8 Revolver | Bone Mask is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Bank Collection item pool. • Minimal Wear ($0.07): Small chips and hairline scratches appear near the barrel tip, cylinder edges, and frame corners, but colors remain vibrant.
• Field-Tested ($0.04): Noticeable edge wear develops on the barrel and cylinder, with more of the darker underlayer appearing on sharp contours.
• Well-Worn ($0.04): Substantial chipping occurs along the barrel, cylinder, and frame, with many Bone Mask patches partially eroded and base metal showing through.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.04): Heavy wear results in large parts of the revolver showing exposed dark metal and a significantly faded or torn Bone Mask pattern.

Bone Mask uses the legacy R8 Revolver model, introduced with CS:GO’s Winter Update on December 8, 2015. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

Players can also obtain it through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Bank Collection. Additionally, souvenir versions of this skin are available from older souvenir packages, such as those from ESL One Cologne 2015 and MLG Columbus 2016, which utilized The Bank Collection as their loot pool.
