Origin Story

The Bowie Knife | Safari Mesh debuted on February 18, 2016, as part of the Operation Wildfire update. Its design features a camouflage pattern applied with spray paint, utilizing mesh fencing and cardboard cutouts as stencils, giving it a utilitarian military aesthetic. The muted olive, khaki, and grey tones create a distinct visual that aligns with its flavor text: "A predator is a predator, no matter the environment." This finish is one of the older generic knife finishes that has been reused across multiple knife generations.

Model

Safari Mesh uses the legacy Bowie Knife model, introduced with Operation Wildfire on February 18, 2016. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Bowie Knife | Safari Mesh is obtained as a rare special item from opening an Operation Wildfire Case, Chroma 3 Case, or Gamma Case. These cases are no longer in the active drop pool, meaning new supply primarily comes from existing sealed cases. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
