The Bowie Knife | Freehand was released on September 22, 2021, as part of the Operation Riptide update. Its design features a black and purple blade decorated with abstract, hand-drawn shapes and lines in a metallic marker style. The Freehand pattern, shared across multiple knife types, offers a distinct visual for players who appreciate this marker-style aesthetic.

• Minimal Wear ($105.42): Light edge wear begins to appear on the tip and edges, but the purple and black colors remain vivid and the metallic lines are fully legible.
• Field-Tested ($99.77): Edge wear becomes clearly visible on the tip and cutting edge, with some underlying metal showing through, though the central blade retains its base colors and pattern.
• Well-Worn ($101.20): Edge wear is pronounced with larger chipped areas exposing metal, and the purple and black base colors appear more muted.

Freehand uses the current Bowie Knife model, added with Operation Riptide on September 22, 2021. The Anodized finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

The Bowie Knife | Freehand is obtainable as a rare special item from opening an Operation Riptide Case. Knives are exceptionally rare drops from cases, with a combined drop rate of approximately 0.26%. Since the Operation Riptide Case is no longer an active drop, new supply is limited to existing sealed cases. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
