Origin Story

The Falchion Knife | Freehand was introduced on September 22, 2021, as part of the Operation Riptide update. Its design features a black and purple color scheme, adorned with abstract, marker-drawn lines that give it an unconventional appearance. Drop Chance

Falchion Knife | Freehand is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.48. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($147.84): The deep black base and rich purple accents are vibrant, with the metallic marker lines crisp and clean across the blade face and spine.
• Minimal Wear ($121.04): Minor nicks or slight dulling begin to appear along the cutting edge and very tip, but the overall appearance remains very close to Factory New.
• Field-Tested ($116.77): More noticeable edge wear appears along the blade and spine, with the black base starting to lighten at edges where the underlying metal shows through.
• Well-Worn ($118.07): Edge and tip wear becomes prominent, with larger sections of the blade edge appearing greyed or silver, and the black and purple areas look slightly faded.
• Battle-Scarred ($134.48): The most extensive edge and tip wear is present, with a generally washed-out look, but the underlying Freehand pattern on the blade remains readable.

Model

Freehand uses the current Falchion Knife model, added with Operation Riptide on September 22, 2021. The Anodized finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

The Falchion Knife | Freehand is obtained as a rare special item from opening an Operation Riptide Case. While the Operation Riptide event has concluded, the case itself remains an active drop in CS2's general case pool. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
