Origin Story

The MP7 | Groundwater emerged on September 19, 2013, as part of The Alpha Collection, introduced alongside Operation Bravo. This skin presents a straightforward, military-inspired aesthetic, with its individual parts spray-painted in solid olive drab colors. It is primarily recognized as a low-tier, budget skin within its classic collection, often sought by players looking to complete their Alpha Collection sets or desiring a simple, utilitarian MP7 finish. The Groundwater's design is characterized by its muted, realistic tones, aligning with other solid-color finishes that prioritize a uniform, low-saturation look over elaborate patterns. As the cleanest available state, Minimal Wear is considered the premium visual option for this skin.

Drop Chance

MP7 | Groundwater is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Alpha Collection item pool. Model

Groundwater uses the legacy MP7 model, introduced with Operation Bravo on September 19, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

The MP7 | Groundwater is acquired from The Alpha Collection package, which functions as a legacy collection drop. This package is no longer part of active map drops but can be obtained as a rare drop or through trading. Players can also acquire the skin through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Alpha Collection.
