Origin Story

The Tec-9 | Slag, released on February 7, 2024, as part of The Kilowatt Collection with the A Call To Arms update, features a custom paint job designed to appear handmade. Its dark, metallic base is accented with orange and rust tones, highlighting the rough, welded texture from the grip to the receiver. This aesthetic emphasizes a rugged, industrial look, making it a playable and affordable sidearm skin within the popular Kilowatt Collection. The skin's visible weld seams and handcrafted metalwork details are particularly prominent in first-person view.

• Minimal Wear ($0.23): Minor abrasions begin to appear on the edges of the receiver, but the overall dark and metallic appearance remains clean.
• Field-Tested ($0.10): Visible wear and scuffs develop on the high-contact surfaces, particularly on the receiver and around the grip, revealing some of the underlying material.
• Well-Worn ($0.09): Significant wear is present across the weapon, with more pronounced scuffs and discoloration on the dark metallic base and the orange-brown elements.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.09): Heavy wear and tear cover the entire skin, with large areas of the custom paint chipped away, giving it a heavily used and weathered appearance.

Slag uses the current Tec-9 model, added with A Call To Arms on February 7, 2024. The Gunsmith finish responds to CS2's dynamic lighting.

How to Obtain

The Tec-9 | Slag is primarily obtained by opening a Kilowatt Case, which is an active weapon case in CS2. As a Mil-Spec rarity skin, it can also be acquired through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from The Kilowatt Collection. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking. For direct purchase, players can find it on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, or various case-opening and skin-trading sites.
