Origin Story

The Tec-9 | Blue Blast, released on April 1, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update, features an Anodized Airbrushed finish. This design applies different shades of blue to the weapon, creating a smooth, glossy, and metallic appearance. Its flavor text, "Move fast, shoot fast, win fast," reinforces the weapon's identity. The skin was introduced within The Ascent Collection.

Drop Chance

Tec-9 | Blue Blast is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Ascent Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. There are 10 other Consumer Grade skins in the collection competing for the same drop slot. Most copies enter the market through trade-up contracts or direct purchase at a listed seller's price.

• Factory New ($0.21): The blue finish is at its most vibrant and uniform, showcasing a smooth metallic sheen with minimal visible edge wear.
• Minimal Wear ($0.04): The overall design remains very close to Factory New, with only subtle softening of color or micro-scratches on the most exposed edges like the front of the receiver.
• Field-Tested ($0.03): Noticeably more edge wear and potential dulling of the blue finish appear, especially on sharp corners and the front of the gun, with some underlying metal beginning to show.
• Well-Worn ($0.03): Larger or more numerous worn areas are present on edges and high-contact surfaces, with more underlying metal exposed and a more muted blue overall.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.03): This tier shows the most significant loss of color vibrancy and heaviest edge wear, with substantial parts of the finish appearing dull, faded, or heavily scratched.
