Origin Story

The Gut Knife | Scorched was introduced on August 14, 2013, as part of The Arms Deal update, making it one of the original knife finishes in CS2. Its spray-painted blade features a sun-dappled pattern in shades of brown, tan, and dark gray, giving it a muted, camouflage-like appearance. This finish is often chosen by players who prefer a low-profile look over flashier designs.

Drop Chance

Gut Knife | Scorched is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

Skin Condition

Float range 0.06 to 0.8. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Minimal Wear (No Recent Price): The sun-dappled camouflage pattern is sharp with only light edge wear and small scratches visible near the tip and spine.
• Field-Tested ($68.45): More visible edge wear and small patches of exposed metal appear on the forward curve and point, while the scorched pattern looks slightly muted.
• Well-Worn ($84.00): The scorched effect becomes substantially faded, with larger areas of the blade showing bare or dull metal and the remaining pattern looking uneven.
• Battle-Scarred (No Recent Price): Large portions of the blade appear heavily scratched and faded, with the brown, tan, and dark gray pattern largely worn away and the metal surface looking rough and dull.

Model

Scorched uses the legacy Gut Knife model, introduced with The Arms Deal on August 14, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Gut Knife | Scorched can be acquired as a rare special drop from the CS:GO Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, and CS:GO Weapon Case 3. These cases are now part of the rare drop pool. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
