Origin Story

The Flip Knife | Forest DDPAT debuted on August 14, 2013, as part of the groundbreaking Arms Deal Update. This skin features a Digital Disruptive Pattern (DDPAT) hydrographic, creating a pixelated camouflage design in muted olive green, dark green, brown, and black. Its visual identity centers on a realistic, military-style aesthetic, making the camo-patterned blade the most prominent feature in first-person view. The design is described in-game with the flavor text, "By the time you're close enough to notice the pixels it's already too late."

Drop Chance

Flip Knife | Forest DDPAT is a knife-tier skin, so standard Valve rarity odds don't apply. Knives drop at a combined rate of approximately 0.26% from supported cases before accounting for which knife type and finish you get. Valve doesn't publish individual knife or phase probabilities.

• Minimal Wear ($163.69): The camo colors remain strong, with only tiny scratches or slight fading beginning to appear on the cutting edge and tip of the blade.
• Field-Tested ($170.51): Noticeable chipping and exposed metal start to show along the blade's edge and tip, and some desaturation of the camo pattern appears on the mid-blade.
• Well-Worn ($163.69): A significant portion of the blade edge and high-contact areas show exposed metal, and the DDPAT pattern appears faded and broken up, especially near the tip and spine.
• Battle-Scarred ($183.38): Large parts of the blade surface are heavily scratched with extensive exposed metal, and the remaining camo appears faded, dirty, and desaturated, giving a very rough, field-used appearance.

Model

Forest DDPAT uses the legacy Flip Knife model, introduced with The Arms Deal on August 14, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The Flip Knife | Forest DDPAT can be acquired as a rare special item from opening the legacy CS:GO Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, or CS:GO Weapon Case 3. These cases are still openable, though they no longer drop in regular gameplay. A StatTrak version is also available for kill tracking.
