Tec-9 | Ice Cap

Origin Story

The Tec-9 | Ice Cap, released on June 16, 2016, as part of The Gamma Collection with the Gamma Exposure update, features a blue and white abstract hydrographic. Its design evokes a sense of cold, with colors that suggest icy formations or frozen landscapes. The "Submerge the opposition" flavor text complements the cool, aquatic theme of the weapon finish.

Drop Chance

Tec-9 | Ice Cap is Mil-Spec, a Blue-tier skin, less common than base collection drops. From the Gamma Case: approximately 11.42% per opening (roughly 1 in 9). The 79.92% Mil-Spec tier rate is split across 7 Mil-Spec skins in the case. StatTrak versions drop at ~1.14% from the Gamma Case (about 1 in 88). These per-skin odds assume equal weighting within tier — Valve publishes tier rates but doesn't formally confirm even distribution across skins in a tier.

Skin Condition

Float range 0 to 0.5. Exteriors: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. StatTrak is available in FN, MW, FT, WW, BS.

• Factory New ($1.40): The anodized finish is pristine, showcasing the solid light blue color without any blemishes.
• Minimal Wear ($0.59): Minor scuffs begin to appear on the edges of the weapon, but the overall light blue finish remains largely intact.
• Field-Tested ($0.48): Noticeable wear appears on prominent areas like the grip and the top of the receiver, with the light blue color showing some dullness.
• Well-Worn ($0.50): The anodized finish exhibits significant wear and scratching across most surfaces, diminishing the vibrancy of the light blue.
• Battle-Scarred ($0.69): Extensive wear and discoloration are present, making the light blue appear heavily faded and scratched, with large areas of the finish compromised.
