Origin Story

The SCAR-20 | Contractor, released on November 27, 2013, as part of the Out with the old, in with the new update, is a Consumer Grade rifle skin from The Safehouse Collection. Its design features individual parts spray-painted in tan, navy, and dark green, creating a muted military palette. This utilitarian look gives the weapon a grounded aesthetic, with dark green and navy components on the receiver and upper body complemented by tan accents. The skin is generally regarded as a basic, budget-friendly option within the game. Its flavor text, "Rona Sabri still hasn't forgiven Sebastien for not selecting her to go after Turner," adds a touch of narrative to its in-game presence.

Drop Chance

SCAR-20 | Contractor is Consumer Grade, the most common drop tier in CS2. It can drop as an end-of-match reward from active competitive play on the Safehouse Collection item pool. Map drops follow a weighted rarity system that heavily favors common grades, so Consumer Grade drops are uncommon and Valve doesn't publish per-skin odds. Contractor uses the legacy SCAR-20 model, introduced with Out with the old, in with the new on November 27, 2013. The inspect animation and third-person appearance match the original CS:GO version.

How to Obtain

The SCAR-20 | Contractor is part of The Safehouse Collection and does not drop from weapon cases. It was originally obtainable as an end-of-match drop when The Safehouse Collection was in the active drop pool. Today, new supply primarily comes from legacy souvenir packages associated with The Safehouse Collection. Players can also acquire this skin through trade-up contracts using ten lower-rarity skins from the same collection. Additionally, it is available for purchase on the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces, and various CS2 skin trading sites.
